Wisconsin Lake & Pond Resource was presented with an unusual situation – the pond was to be built on a side of a hill. With the use of pond liner technology, this was actually quite easy to do. The pond was designed to raise a quality, trophy fishery. We incorporated fish structures varying from oak cribs to synthetic plastic pipe and Honey Hole cribs. One guideline required of us was to keep the pond looking “natural”.  To accomplish this, we lined the edges with crushed stone to protect the liner and capped off the entire perimeter with the soil from the existing pond basin. This pond will grow exceptional shoreline aquatic plants and will be a wildlife attraction. And the fishing…it will be awesome!
